Who Am I?

Throughout both my academic education and my entire professional life, I have been deeply engaged with organizations, the people working within them, and the interactions taking place there.

When I finished high school, I initially thought it was a good idea to become an interpreter because I was very fascinated by language. However, I (and my professors – my low grades spoke volumes!) quickly discovered at that time that I was mistaken and that my true interest lay more in communication and behavior than in language itself. I corrected my decision and instead studied social sciences at the renowned University of Mannheim, and I would do it again anytime!

What Is Change?

Fortunately, I have been able to make many decisions in my life for myself. Others have been made for me. As a child and adolescent, I frequently moved with my parents – neither of whom is from Germany – and it was only as an adult that I came to appreciate the value that these frequent changes of location brought: different circles of friends, diverse experiences, and above all, the ability to quickly orient myself in unfamiliar terrain and easily connect with new people.

Why am I telling you these small snippets from my biography? Because you are interested in leadership or career coaching and probably have topics like change or decision-making high on your agenda. Having an effective and trustful coaching means to me that I don’t just provide you with theoretically brilliant tools, but that you have a thinking partner who has experienced many changes and knows both the difficult and the easy moments from these situations.

What Is Career?

The fact that I am here for you today as a coach is the result of a conscious decision and at the same time a natural evolution of my career. I spent almost 20 years working in an international chemical company, representing various HR areas.

I enjoyed all the positions very much, but my last job was the most intense experience for me: I was responsible for a global top talent program and had the opportunity to work with wonderful international high potentials, to find, select and coach them, but also collaborated with many, many business leaders up to the C-level to ensure that our talents grow and thrive. I know I reached a real sweet spot with this position.

Why did I give up such an amazing job? Well, although the many years in the corporate world were very diverse, I still had the desire to work fully independently one day. And eventually, I felt that there was enough professional and personal basis for me to fulfill this dream. I was ready for a bigger change!
